Classical music provides stunning soundtrack for tornado time-lapse film

Mike Olbinski describes himself as "your typical stormchasing wedding photographer." But when classical host Brian Newhouse spotted the video below, it was anything but typical.

According to his Vimeo page, Olbinski recorded this storm footage between April 15 and June 15, 2016. To capture these weather scenes, Olbinski traversed nine states and 20,000 miles. He saw seven tornadoes, which unfold in stunning time-lapse photography in the course of Olbinski's resulting short film, Vorticity.

For the music, Olbinski worked with composer Kerry Muzzey, who donated his piece, "Found," to Olbinski for this film. Muzzey, who is based in Los Angeles, is a modern classical and film composer who wrote the score for the documentary film The Seer: A Portrait of Wendell Berry by directors Laura Dunn and Jef Sewell and executive producers Robert Redford and Terrence Malick. In addition, Muzzey's piece "Looking Back" was used as a recurring love theme on the popular television series, Glee.
