C.E. Aaron
C.E. Aaron, a musician and musicologist, comes to YourClassical MPR after receiving degrees in music composition from Seattle Pacific University and religion and music from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music. Their undergraduate research examined a little-known concert aria by Amy Beach, helping facilitate its debut performance by the New England Philharmonic in fall 2021. Their current research discusses musicologist Rae Linda Brown's work on composer Florence Price and the role of identity, family and community in writing Black music histories. In their spare time, they tour the Twin Cities' bookstores and museums, try new vegan recipes and buy mystery cassette tapes from record shops.
