Pianist Eric Himy joined host Steve Staruch in the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio on March 1, 2010 for an hour-long, all-Chopin recital to celebrate the 200th birthday of pianist and composer, Frederick Chopin.
Himy shared his first experience of hearing the works of the composer. As a youngster, he heard the legendary pianist Artur Rubinstein perform in concert. Young Eric was bold enough to ask to meet the great man.
Listen to our chat when I asked Himy if Rubinstein was one of his favorite Chopin interpreters.
