The Madeline Island Music Camp celebrates its 25th anniversary this season.
The camp seeks to encourage and promote the fine art of chamber music performance among young people.
Madeline Island has also been a summer stopping off point for some of the best string quartets in the nation.
From a June 26th performance at the Madeline Island "Club House" auditorium the Jupiter Quartet ended a week long residency with a performance of the quartet by Claude Debussy.

Coming up on July 10th at the Madeline Island Music Camp, Classical MPR's John Birge hosts the 25th Anniversary Recognition Dinner and Concert, featuring the Prairie Winds Quintet, the Pacifica String Quartet and young artists from the class of 2010.
