Playing the piano in public might be like ice-fishing according to pianist Stephen Stouder. He is on his way to the International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs sponsored by the Van Cliburn Foundation.
Stouder joined Classical MPR's Steve Staruch in the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio to talk about his vocation/avocation and perform one of the works on his program, the Ballade No 1 by Frederic Chopin.
[You can catch Stephen Stouder's performance from the competition Wednesday, May 25 at 8 pm (central) by following the link at cliburn.org]
