In today's Regional Spotlight, Osmo Vanska occupies a different role -- that of a clarinetist -- is joined by pianist Susan Billmeyer and violist Thomas Turner in a performance of a piece that's perfect for summer.
The story is that Mozart composed the "Kegelstatt" trio while playing bocce, a form of summer lawn bowling. This makes his Kegelstatt Trio the perfect piece for the day before summer, even though the performance comes from cold, snowy Duluth this past winter!
Regional Spotlight airs in the 3 p.m. hour on Thursdays.
