Ted Unseth's art is all about classic jazz — he has spent the last 30 years working for and with the Americana Classic Jazz Orchestra.
But when he received a commission from Jay Fishman for a short work for the Minnesota Sinfonia, he couldn't pass it up.
This week's Regional Spotlight features a performance of this commission, Concertino in 3 Movements, from a weekend concert this past April, which Unseth has declared to be perhaps the best weekend of his life.
The applause (complete with hoots and whistles) says it all. Unseth's Concertino in 3 Movements is a winning piece.
