Katie Sisneros is moving toward her Ph.D. in English at the University of Minnesota. Her field of study is 17th- and 18th-century English ballads. The stories contained in these entertaining pieces come to life whenever she talks about them. Perhaps it helps that she's also a writer of sometimes irreverent prose. You'll find it difficult not to sing along with her infectious playlist.
