Samuel Rhodes recently retired as the violist with the Juilliard String Quartet after 44 years in that position. He is performing with the Chamber Music Society of Minnesota this Sunday, April 13, at 4 p.m., at Sundin Music Hall at Hamline University. Rhodes calls the sound of the viola "inward, deep and beautiful."
