For our weekly feature, "Moveable Feast," Rachel Hutton of Minnesota Monthly joins John Birge to talk about where to go and what to eat in Minnesota.

As we enter into autumn, Mirror Lake State Park (near Wisconsin Dells) is a fantastic place to view the changing of colors from greens to reds and oranges. It is also a great destination for architecture enthusiasts, as it is home to the Seth Peterson Cottage, one of the few buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright that is available to the public for overnight rental. It is a very compact space, but well designed, with a cantilevered roof and big glass windows on the south side and then a low, cozy ceiling on the side around the fireplace and bedroom.

When one stays at the cottage, the place to eat dinner is The Ishnala Supper Club (only a short canoe ride away). The Dells area is famous, in part, for its natural Wisconsin stone outcroppings, and Ishnala is affixed to the side of one of these outcroppings, overlooking Mirror Lake. The supper club was created before there were building codes and was built around a Norway pine that grows right through the roof. In addition to the breathtaking views, highlights include the "Chief Ishnala" (a drink created over 50 years ago by the club's founders, the Hoffman Brothers), as well as delicious surf and turf options.
