Is there a Bernard Herrmann film score that reminds you of a time you jumped so high in the cinema you sent popcorn flying everywhere?
As Halloween approaches, it's time to consider all of those pieces of classical music that give us all the spooky shivers. That's why we're asking you to submit your ideas for Creepy Classics.
Suggest a piece of scary classical music between Oct. 13 and 20; then we'll put it up to a vote from Oct. 21 to 29.
After votes are tabulated, tune in to Classical MPR on Friday, Oct. 31, as we count down your top 13 Creepy Classics, playing one piece per hour until 7 p.m.; during the 7 o'clock hour, Bill Morelock will count down the top 5, creating a perfect soundtrack for trick-or-treating and Halloween hijinks.
