John Rubinstein: Fathers and Sons

Arthur Rubinstein was one of the greatest classical pianists. But his son took a different path, and became a famous actor.

John Rubinstein created the role of Pippin on Broadway 43 years ago. Now he plays Pippin's father for the touring production in Minneapolis. He joined me in the Classical MPR studio to talk about musical fathers and sons, and to listen to some of his dad's best recordings.

Actor John Rubinstein's father, Arthur, was one of the greatest classical pianists. John is an accomplished actor and in town as part of the touring production of 'Pippin'.
