Why do you love to perform?
My initial beginnings in piano performance were not sprung from love, but from a rebellious determination. Having been told that the piece I'd chosen was too hard from me, I naturally set about proving everyone wrong. However, that was five years ago. Today, my motivation is a love of music and the piano. My musical experience has allowed me to express emotions in difficult times and to connect with other musicians on a very empathetic level. While I still have a wayward streak in me that defies the "impossible," my piano performance is not a means to end anymore. Now it is a part of me: an extension of my fingers, my voice, and my emotions. I love to perform because I love to play.
