Why do you love to perform?
Performing is the most unusually thrilling thing I have ever experienced. It takes a lot of hard work, preparing a piece for hours in the practice room, only to walk up on stage and be done in a matter of minutes. But during those few minutes, I feel alive in a way I never feel anywhere but onstage. I absolutely love it, and wouldn't trade it for the world.
I first heard this piece when I was fourteen, and have wanted to learn it ever since! Finally learning it this year has been a thrill, both challenging and rewarding. I love the way the piece starts out slowly and quietly, gradually builds suspense throughout the piece, and ends with a fiery finale.
