In anticipation of their 20th anniversary birthday bash concert on Sunday, May 1, at 3 p.m. in the Ordway Concert Hall, the Rose Ensemble -- plus a small period instrument band -- bring celebratory numbers and conversation with Alison Young to the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio.
You are in for a treat: 19 musicians join Alison for this performance. Just when you thought the Rose Ensemble were Renaissance musical specialists, they blow you away by releasing an album of early American music, or Hawaiian music! Everything they do is thoroughly researched and brought to life with an exacting attention to detail.
Between musical selections, Alison speaks to Jordan Sramek, founder, director, musician extraordinaire to give you some behind-the-scenes stories on this remarkable ensemble.
