Turn-of-the-20th-century composer Max Reger was a man of many talents. A superb organist and conductor, his students were some of the best-known musicians of the early 1900s. Often dark hued, much of Reger's music is a playful kaleidoscope of autumn colors. From a May Twin Cities American Guild of Organists' Reger Centenary concert, clarinetist Paul Schimming and pianist Stephen Self perform the Clarinet Sonata No. 1 by Max Reger.
