Tell us about the piece you have submitted to Minnesota Varsity.
In "Awakening," which is dedicated to my passed uncle, I wanted to tell a story of resurrection. I wanted to highlight a dark, almost ugly beginning, with the tempo of a march to accompany it, to a vast, great ending of triumph and glory.
