Every baseball team needs one, a utility player. It's the player who can bat left or right, play outfield or infield, the player who's never quite the hero, but always there when needed. That's how Clara Osowski describes her role as a mezzo soprano.
In the Twin Cites, Clara is a regular with the women's ensemble Lumina, with the Rose Ensemble and Consortium Carissimi. She's also one of the mezzos on call with the Florida-based ensemble Seraphic Fire. A budding entrepreneur, Clara is a member of the brains and talent team behind the "Source Song Festival" which, for the last three summers, has brought singers of international stature to the region.
Clara has performed in recital both nationally and internationally, and describes herself as "an artist in love with words." Her playlist is an equal balance of sensuous solo and gorgeous choral singing. Clara Osowski is Steve Staruch's guest on Music with Minnesotans.
