Recorded at the 2016 Minnesota Beethoven Festival in Winona, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and piano soloist Nobuyuki Tsujii presented an all-Beethoven concert at the Winona Middle School Auditorium (see photo gallery). On the program were Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, the Piano Concerto No. 3 and the Symphony No. 5 (see complete concert program).
Incidentally, the 2017 Minnesota Beethoven Festival begins on July 6. Classical MPR will present four live broadcasts from the festival this summer, starting with a performance by cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11.
