City folk like to think that they've cornered the market on good food, that the suburbs are a wasteland of chain fast-food joints. Well, sometimes they are, but that's not the case with Richfield, which has some low-key culinary gems.
Tomorrow's the last day of the Richfield Farmers Market, which is great for fall produce as well as handmade Tibetan momos, meat-stuffed dumplings served with a spicy sauce. In terms of global eats, there's also the Egyptian-Mediterranean Aida, which inhabits an old Taco Bell. Then there's the old Embers that became Andale Taqueria and Mercado, one of the best Mexican groceries/restaurants in the metro. And finally, the chef-driven gastropub Lyn 65, known for its killer fried chicken and cocktails.
