Why do you love to perform?
I love to perform because performing can take both you and the audience to another place. As a performer, I love that I can step out of Minnesota in 2017 for a few minutes and go to a different time and place, like a church in Germany in the 1720s while I play Bach's cello suites. Also, as a performer, you have the opportunity to bring the audience with you into this other world. There are very few things in life that allow you to transport yourself into another world and I love that I can do that with music.
