Women's History Spotlight: Jennifer Higdon

Women's History: Jennifer Higdon

Jennifer Higdon didn't start composing until she was 21, but that late start hasn't stopped her from becoming one of the world's most in-demand composers. In 2010, she was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for her Violin Concerto, written for Hilary Hahn.  She has also won three Grammy Awards for best contemporary classical composition, for her Percussion Concerto in 2010, Viola Concerto in 2018 and Harp Concerto in 2020.
