Anthony McGill is one of the best solo, orchestral and chamber musicians in the world. For ten years, he was the principal clarinet of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and is now the principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic. McGill has performed and given masterclasses all over the world, and has collaborated with many artists including Emanuel Ax and Gil Shaham as well as performing at the 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama. McGill is a member of the McGill/McHale Trio along with his older brother flutist Demarre McGill and pianist Michael McHale.
