Clarinetist Mariam Adam fuses the cultural nuances of her Egyptian-Mexican heritage in the music she creates as one half of the crossover group AdZel Duo, and as part of the clarinet/piano duo TransAtlantic Ensemble. Earlier in her career, Adam performed for 15 years as part of the Grammy-nominated woodwind quintet the Imani Winds and now maintains an active, international presence both as an instrumentalist and educator.
