Cellist Julia Yang is a founding member of the Merz Trio and a recent fellow of Carnegie Hall's Ensemble Connect. She has won top prizes at competitions such as the Lennox International Competition and the Union League of Chicago's Young Artist Competition. She has performed with the New World Symphony Orchestra, the Central Florida Symphony Orchestra, and the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra.
As a chamber musician, Ms. Yang has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Australia and Canada.
Ms. Yang's award-winning piano trio, Merz Trio, interweaves the piano trio genre with other art forms ranging from the visual arts, literature and dance to theater and the culinary arts.
Julia Yang is joined in these performances with fellow Merz Trio member, pianist Lee Dionne.
