My career goals and current work feature a life in nonprofit administration and helping serve social causes through whatever means I can provide value. In my life, music has become a great tool in community engagement, and a fulfilling hobby.
Minnesota Varsity was a large part of why I took to several music ensembles in college. Through participating in 4 ensembles, I not only grew my musical abilities, but gained an appreciation for what is continuing to become a lifetime of active participation in music. Since college, I've continued to stay active in playing in local and church groups. I'm excited to see what my next music opportunity will be!
Minnesota Varsity reminds me that staying engaged in music and sharing my skills are not only wholesome, but helpful to others. Whether it's playing in an orchestra or playing in a church worship band, music means something to people and this program has been instrumental in giving me the confidence to play publicly, but also in reminding me of the mission of spreading music.
