New Amsterdam is an adventurous record label that's been showcasing some of today's most interesting and groundbreaking young composers since 2008. On this week's program, Steve Seel showcases a number of new releases from the label, including the brand new work from one of the label's founders, Sarah Kirkland Snider, entitled "Mass for the Endangered."
Also featured are selections from Tristan Perich's "Drift Multiply" -- a composition for 50 violins and 50-channel 1-bit electronics -- and the latest from the ensemble yMusic, "Ecstatic Science."
