30 years ago, the fall of the Soviet Union meant a lot of great classical music from the former Baltic states of Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia started to be heard here in the West. This week, Steve Seel focuses on Latvia in particular, and a host of the bigger living composers who have become well known in the years since, including Peteris Vasks, Georgs Pelecis, and Osvaldo Golijov.
