Pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason returns to the Ordway Center in St. Paul on Tuesday night as part of the Schubert Club’s International Artist Series.
Kanneh-Mason’s Schubert Club debut in 2019 with her brother, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, remains one of the most popular and well-received of recent recitals of the series. This concert will mark Kanneh-Mason’s solo debut and will include sonatas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin’s iconic Ballade No. 2, short pieces by Sofia Gubaidulina and Sergei Rachmaninov, and a new piece by Eleanor Alberga.
Listen to YourClassical MPR’s live broadcast of the concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
