What does a career in music look like for a woman today? A decade ago? A century ago? Every woman composer has faced the challenges that come with paving their way through a male dominated field, has faced the obstacles that make sharing their voice and music twice or even three times as difficult. But in the end, they do what women do best: prevail. During this Women's History month, we celebrate the various women composers that have forged a path in classical music for themselves and those after them with Homeward Sound, featuring Julie Amacher, Gabi Glass and conversations with composers Libby Larsen and Gabriela Lena Frank.
