Join MPR at the Minnesota State Fair

Join MPR News, the Current, YourClassical MPR and all of our friends at Camp MPR at the Minnesota State Fair, Aug. 25 to Sept. 5 at our usual spot near the corner of Judson and Nelson. This year, our space will be kitted-out for outdoor-themed fun and adventure, in all the most Minnesota ways imaginable — camping, canoeing, hiking, snowshoeing, birdwatching or just relaxing!

Kids will enjoy Camp MPR’s huge coloring wall, with Minnesota-themed animals, scenery and activities, and everyone will love our artistic campfire installation. Pull up a stump and take a pic with your friends, or gear up in merchandise from YourClassical, the Current and MPR News. Or treat yourself to a Camp MPR-themed giveaway when you sign up for one of our many newsletters!

We’ll feature videos from YourClassical Storytime (classical music and storytelling paired for family fun). Booths and vendors from our partners will be hosting activities and giveaways, and the stage will be booked with shows, events and performances. And on Sept. 2, join us for special presentations as part of MPR Day at Dan Patch Park.

We can’t wait to see everyone in person at this year’s Great Minnesota Get-Together!

• Thursday, Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m.: YourClassical MPR presents the OK Factor. 

• Thursday, Sept. 1 at noon: YourClassical MPR presents Minnesota Opera.  

• Friday, Sept. 2 at 1:15 p.m. (MPR Day at Dan Patch Park): YourClassical MPR presents KNOWN MPLS Choir.

• Sunday, Sept. 4 at 3 p.m.: YourClassical MPR presents the Beer Choir.

• Aug 27-28 and Sept. 3-5: YourClassical Storytime video showings.
