This week we hear not one but two live concert performances featuring violinist and conductor Pekka Kuusisto: first, Pekka plays and conducts English composer Thomas Ades’ “Marchentenze” recorded at the 2022 BBC Proms Festival on August 26, and also, he conducts the world premiere of American composer Cindy Cox’s “Dreaming a World’s Edge,” performed by the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra this past May at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul. Steve Seel also features cuts from the new release by guitarist Sean Shibe, music by Bryce Dessner and Anne Muller, and more.
