Move over 'Guitar Hero' — 'Trombone Champ' is here

When you think of classical music and playing video games, not many games come to mind. Now one does. Trombone Champ takes inspiration from Guitar Hero to make a game that will win over prospective brass players.

The creator of the game, Holy Wow, said “Trombone Champ is the world’s first trombone-based rhythm music game. Unlike most music games, you can freely play any note at anytime. You're not just following along with the music. You're actually playing the music!”

At the game’s release, it has more than 20 tracks, including classical works, anthems, marches and more. Not only does the game have guest artists that show up, but there also are unlockable “Tromboner Cards” that teach players about a famous performer.
