On this episode of Friday Favorites, for March 10, 2023, host Steve Staruch plays music to celebrate daylight saving time and rings in spring with a request for Elena Kats-Chernin’s Wild Swans. And Project DJ co-host Ana Freeberg talks about running and oil painting.
Since September, Freeberg has served as an intern at YourClassical MPR. She is a runner and completed her first marathon (the Twin Cities Marathon) just a few months ago. She also is an artist who specializes in oil painting but enjoys working in all mediums. She served as the assistant producer for a recent film, Whiteness at Work, which premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in February. You can see some of her work below.
