Emily Roth, the Project DJ co-host for Friday Favorites on March 17, 2023, knew when she was 6 that she wanted to be a musician. That’s when she began taking piano lessons. She loved learning and performing. These days, she is working on a master’s degree in organ performance at the University of Minnesota. Her leap from piano to pipe organ was an organic one. Her first organ lessons were a bit of an extracurricular activity. She performed as part of Before Bach’s Birthday Bash in Minneapolis on March 18 by Your Classical MPR.
