If you've ever sung "Row, Row, Row Your Boat," you know what a "round" is. But rounds are not just used in musical exercises meant for children — they can be a tool composers use in some pretty sophisticated classical compositions, too. On this week's Extra Eclectic, Steve Seel showcases modern works that use rounds and "looping" phrases in their structure — from the likes of Marc Mellits, Christina Spinei, Marcelo Zarvos and others. In the second hour of the show, Steve again celebrates the fall season with modern works that have an autumnal air. Listen now!
