Joyce Yang
A native of Seoul, Korea, Joyce Yang moved to the U.S. with her mother when she was 10 to study at Juilliard. In 2005, she won the Silver Medal at the 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Highlights of last season include a "knockout performance" with The New York Philharmonic under Lorin Maazel and a recital in the Tonhalle in Zurich hailed for its "absolutely astonishing virtuosity." Joyce's debut disc on Harmonia Mundi includes Bach, Liszt, Scarlatti, and Carl Vine.
