The Chopin Society presented the silver medalist in the 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and a "million-volt presence" Joyce Yang in concert a few weeks ago. Part of her recital included a collection of pieces by Johannes Brahms. Not only did she play these works as if they'd been written for her, she addressed the audience with comments that showed the depth of her knowledge and artistry.
