To the beach!!!! A listener inspired hour of film music from movies set in, on, around or under the sea. ““Old Man and the Sea”, “The Sea Hawk”, “Hawaii”, “Hunt for Red October”, “South Pacific”.

Families. For better or worse, we live with them, dine with them, take summer vacations with them. A look at films about families from “Meet Me in St. Louis” and ”Sound of Music” to “Psycho” and “Star Wars”.

A brief overview of some of the great classic foreign films of the late 20th century. Spaghetti Westerns, Fellini, Legrand, Delerue and Hisaishi among others. Bill Morelock is guest host.

Some great films have been don on location in our beautiful country. We celebrate the Fourth by traveling coast to coast for “Music Man”, “Our Town”. “On the Town”, “Chicago”, Meet Me in St. Louis” and “1776”.

The LGTBQ community has long been a major creative force in Hollywood, even in the days when discriminations and “don’t ask, don’t tell” prevailed. Artists like George Cukor, Rock Hudson, Montgomery Clift, Elliot Page and Jodie Foster are celebrated along with their dearest friends and staunchest advocates, Doris Day and Elizabeth Taylor.

These two seemingly unrelated stars share more than one thing and there is a connection, at least according to Day-Lewis. On this week’s Saturday Cinema, enjoy music from some of their best films including, My Left Foot, Age of Innocence, Lincoln, Funny Face, My Fair Lady, Nun's Story and more.
