As part of our Voices of Spring Choral Month, we've asked prominent voices in the Minnesota choral community to tell us their top 10 choral pieces so we could share them with you!

Likewise, don't forget to let us know your favorite choral compositions by casting your vote in our Choral Countdown.

Her name and presence may not be widely recognized here in Minnesota, but this Midwestern native has established herself as one of the leading choral figures in the country, arguably the world.

Ann Howard Jones, a native of Iowa, is the Director of Choral Activities at Boston University. Dr. Jones comes with quite the curriculum vitae!

She was assistant Conductor of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus for 15 years during Robert Shaw's leadership, helped to organize the Robert Shaw Institute, and was Musical Assistant for the Robert Shaw Singers and the Robert Shaw Festival Singers.

She has also taught at the University of Iowa, Wittenberg, and Emory Universities, is heavily involved with the Tanglewood Institute, and has toured the globe with her choruses.

Lastly, she was a Fulbright scholar lecturer in Brazil, was awarded the Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching from Boston University, and received the Robert Shaw Choral Award from the American Choral Director's Association.

As we like to say in Minnesota, "Uffda!"

This Top 10 is going to be loaded with rich material. Students, conductors, educators, scholars take note!
