Today at 2 p.m., Minnesota Boychoir will perform at the MPR booth at the State Fair, located near the corner of Judson and Nelson.
According to its website, the Minnesota Boychoir is the oldest boy choir in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, having been founded in 1962.
The Boychoir has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Opera, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, the Prague Philharmonic, and on A Prairie Home Companion, to name a few. The choir has sung at the MPR booth at the State Fair in previous years, and it performed at Classical MPR's inaugural Harmony in the Park choral festival in 2012.
Minnesota Boychoir is composed of boys and young men, ages 7 to 18, who come from throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
