Harmony in the Park in Mankato
Bill Hickey for MPR

Here's a fun look back: Harmony in the Park delighted audiences in Minneapolis, Mankato and Duluth back in June. Each day, the weather threatened, but the air cleared just in time for each concert. Enjoy these photos by freelance photographer Bill Hickey.

Minneapolis

The clouds that poured rain onto Minnehaha Falls Park earlier in the afternoon didn't deter Twin Cities choral fans, who came out 2,000 strong for VocalPoint, The Singers, and Six Appeal. And they got a lesson in vocal percussion from Andrew Berkowitz of Six Appeal to boot!

Mankato

Riverfront Park's beautiful Vetter Stone Amphitheatre was the setting for choral delights by Minnesota Valley Chorale, St. Peter Choral Society, and the Riverblenders Barbershop Chorus. Children danced in front of the stage as the sun set on a lovely evening along the Minnesota River.

Duluth

Another weather nail-biter, as storms turned to sunshine just in time for a rousing finale to this year's Harmony in the Park. Ringing the Leif Erikson Park stage in their portable camp chairs, an enthusiastic audience gathered for Lake Superior Youth Chorus, Twin Ports Choral Project, and Echoes of Peace Choir.
