Composers Joe Henson and Alexis Smith form a composing duo called The Flight. They've been working together on music for more than 20 years, and they have three games under their belts in addition to multiple other media projects.
Henson and Smith are getting a lot of attention for their recent score to Alien: Isolation, a game based off of the 1979 film Alien. Composer Jerry Goldsmith wrote the score for that film, and Henson and Smith had the opportunity to use themes from Goldsmith's iconic score in their own music for Alien: Isolation.
Host Emily Reese talks with Henson and Smith — aka The Flight — about Alien: Isolation, about their music for the multiplayer aspect of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and about the value of humility on the new episode of Top Score.
