Ryan Ike got his first big break in video-game composition by answering an open call for composers on Twitter for a game called Gunpoint. He got the job … and a BAFTA nomination.
The BAFTA ended up going to Grand Theft Auto V that year, but that didn't stop Ryan. In addition to composing for numerous indie games, Ryan is working to help aspiring composers get into the video game music industry. Toward the end of our conversation, Ryan offers some tips on how you can get your foot in the door if you are a composer interested in writing for video games.
