Last month, Choirs of America hosted one of its national festivals in New York City -- an opportunity for choirs from around the country to come together, work with noted clinicians/conductors, and perform in Carnegie Hall. This year's master conductor was my mentor, Dr. Andre Thomas, and it was a joy to watch him work with the students and touch their lives in the same, powerful way he touched mine.
