A choral take on a Bing Crosby holiday classic

The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge consists of 30 music students, mostly undergraduates, and is directed by Stephen Layton. In 2011, Gramophone magazine voted The Choir of Trinity College the fifth-best choir in the world in its ranking of 20 vocal ensembles from around the world.

On Nov. 13, 2015, The Choir of Trinity College released an album, Yulefest!, an a cappella collection of holiday music. The album has received plaudits from BBC Music magazine; the Los Angeles Times, in its review, suggested that if one is unmoved by the music on Yulefest!, one can only "have Grinch in your soul."

But amidst all that serious scholarship and singing, the Trinity College choir haven't forgotten that music is also fun. Taking their performance of "Holiday Inn: White Christmas," the choir released this charming music video:

And speaking of great music from Cambridge, we'll be featuring the Choir of King's College in its annual celebration, A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, on Thursday, Dec. 24.
