The SPCO welcomes French pianist David Fray for his Minnesota debut with Mozart's dramatic Piano Concerto No. 24 in C Minor. Classical MPR will broadcast the concert live on Saturday, Feb. 27, starting at 8 p.m.
The program opens with a chamber piece by American composer Andrew Norman, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's stained glass windows. Also in the program is Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring, performed in its original version for thirteen instruments, led by concertmaster Steven Copes.
