Throughout the month of April, we've been celebrating choral music with four weeks of special programming we call Voices of Spring. On Friday, April 29, we're culminating the month with a Top 25 choral countdown, as voted by you.
Back in January, we asked you to vote for your favorite choral pieces on a ballot of 100 titles (with room for write-ins). You responded, and 15 of those picks informed the VocalEssence Listeners' Choice concert on April 24.
Now, we bring your picks to the airwaves. Listen Friday starting at 7 a.m. as we play two selections per hour. From 1 to 3 p.m., we'll take a water break as our friends at Performance Today broadcast the day's program. Then, at 3 p.m., Steve Seel (in for Steve Staruch) plays three choral selections per hour as we count down the rest of the way from 13 down to your No. 1 pick.
