Bring the Sing: Join our choral community in Duluth

Do you love to sing? Classical Minnesota Public Radio seeks voices of all abilities for the second season of Bring the Sing, a community choral event. Part sing-along, part workshop, it's music-making fun for all, and you're invited to join the fun.

You'll work with wonderful conductors, sing with choral enthusiasts from your community, and hear the result on Classical MPR's Choral Stream. Importantly, you don't need to be able to read music in order to participate.

In 2017, we're taking Bring the Sing to three Minnesota cities: Rochester, Duluth (a return visit) and a third city to be named soon.

Bring the Sing - Duluth

Bring the Sing - Duluth, with Conductors Bret Amundson and Sarah Cohen of The College of St. Scholastica faculty, will take place Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Mitchell Auditorium, The College of St. Scholastica, 1200 Kenwood Ave., Duluth 55811. Lobby doors open at 9:15 a.m. — please arrive in enough time to check in at one of the tables in the lobby.

•  The event includes an extended refreshment break so you can enjoy getting to know your singing neighbors.

•  Songs for the Duluth event are listed here. After registering, you may pick up your sheet music at Whole Foods Coop through Friday noon on March 24 (either location: 610 E 4th Street Duluth, 55805 and 4426 Grand Avenue Duluth, 55807); otherwise, you can register and pick up the music when you arrive at the event on Saturday morning.

•  Because audio and video recording will take place during the event, you will be required to sign and turn in a media release form. Please bring the signed form with you when you arrive. (Please request sheet music only if you intend to sing on Saturday, March 25. If you find, after receiving the music, that you cannot attend, we ask that you please let us know, and that you return the music to Classical MPR.)

•  If, after reading this page, you still have questions about Bring the Sing, please email your questions to bringthesing@mpr.org.
