Do you love to sing? Classical Minnesota Public Radio seeks voices of all abilities for the second season of Bring the Sing, a community choral event. Part sing-along, part workshop, it's music-making fun for all, and you're invited to join the fun.
You'll work with wonderful conductors, sing with choral enthusiasts from your community, and hear the result on Classical MPR's Choral Stream. Importantly, you don't need to be able to read music in order to participate.
As part of MPR's 50th anniversary celebration, we're taking Bring the Sing to Saint John's University in Collegeville on Wednesday, April 26. We're excited to welcome conductor G. Phillip Schoultz III of VocalEssence to Bring the Sing to lead our singing community. See below for more details.
Location
Saint John's Abbey, Saint John's University
2900 Abbey Plaza
Collegeville, MN 56321
Time
Lobby doors open at 5 p.m. Please arrive in enough time to check in at one of the tables in the lobby prior to the event.
Important Info
• The event begins with a light buffet in the Great Hall near the Abbey so you can get acquainted with your neighbors and get ready to sing.
• Please enter your address below so we can mail sheet music to you before the event. The deadline for requesting music to be mailed is April 19. Otherwise, you can register and pick up the music at the event when you arrive. (See Song List)
• Because audio and video recording will take place during the event, you will be required to sign and turn in a media release form. Please bring the signed form with you when you arrive. (Please request sheet music only if you intend to sing on Wednesday, April 26. If you find, after receiving the music, that you cannot attend, we ask that you please let us know, and that you return the music to Classical MPR.)
